To be fair I really liked the location. You are outside of the hustle and bustle of Manhatten but superclose to it too. It's just a short subway ride away. I personally enjoyed staying in Queens. The beds to me were really comfortable! I slept very well! I'm not used to sleeping that well in a hostel. I was staying in a 4 bed female dorm and the ladies in there were nice and respectful. Even when coming back late they would be considerate. The bathroom and toilet were in the room which I appreciated too. It's just easier to shower and change etc... The rooftop has a nice view! Too bad not many people chilled there. Stephanie (hope I wrote it correctly) was such a sweetheart! The first room I was in, I was put in a top bed but the bed was so squeaky and just not comfortable! She had me switch rooms and asigned me a bottom bed to make sure I'd be comfortable as I was staying a few nights and I really was comfy! The first night I was even alone in the room. I really appreciated that gesture! There is a little kitchen too if you'd like to make your own food. There are some Delis and restaurant in the area too. The noise coming from outside was okay still btw.

Really good value for money. The location is really good - it's a quiet, safe part of town, and the hostel itself is just a few minutes walk from Court Sq station which has the E, M, G and 7 trains, which means you're never more than 25 minutes away from Manhattan, Brooklyn, Jamaica (which gets you to JFK) or LaGuardia. The staff were really friendly and the 24/7 bar/coffee shop was great. We were a couple with a packed itinerary and private room so we didn't spend too much time there, but it seemed like there was a good mix of travellers with social vibes and events being advertised. Obviously it's not the Soho Ritz, it's a hostel in LIC, so it won't be for everyone, but I'd definitely stay there again next time I visited.

The location is superb - only ten minutes away from Hunters Point Park where you can have a nice walk and enjoy the Manhattan skyline. There are also nice coffeeshops and bars around. The hostel has a kitchen where you can leave your food and cook breakfast; they also have a decent bar and a nice looking lounge/coworking zone. And a rooftop which is absolutely amazing! The staff was all super friendly, special kudos to Sandy!

The position of the Hotel is Top! View to Manhattan skyline and few min walk to the metro that brings you to Manhattan in few stops e.g. Rockfeller Center, Bryant Park, Time Square are 3-4 stops. I went everywhere and it was perfect. Staff is welcoming and there is a bar and common area where you can spend some time. I was also luckier with roommates, I stayed 8nights and no problem with anyone.

Cecilia

Nice roommates, comfortable common spaces such as tables downstairs, kitchen, and the bar (especially when people in your room are already/still sleeping), a laundry facility, nice atmosphere and friendly staff, roof terrace with a view (though it was not so usable in winter), 5 min walking distance from the metro station and pleasant neighborhood with supermarkets and restaurants.
